Messi's Legendary Profile

Art of the Deal:
How did Inter Miami manage to get the G.O.A.T?
The signing of Lionel Messi was bound to be expensive and historic, especially since they had to win his favor against a “reported $1 billion over two years” deal from the professional Saudi soccer league. Recognizing the reward for bringing Lionel Messi into the U.S. soccer scene, bigger investors stepped up to secure the signing of the soon to be Inter Miami star. The Club itself settled on giving Messi “between $50 and $60 million” dollars a year. Other investors like the MLS and APPLE TV+ stepped in to sweeten the deal offering him a portion of kit sales, equity in the Inter Miami team, and a share of the profit garnered from the APPLE TV+ and MLS Season Passes sold.

The deal is estimated to be worth less than the Saudi League was offering. So why did he end up signing? The answer lies within the community of Miami itself. Messi wanted to be apart of the culture, and we couldn't be happier.
